The world is changing, and fast. Since the pandemic hit in March of 2020, things have been in a constant state of upheaval. The numbers for depression/anxiety & suicide are on the rise. Civil unrest, global warming, rioting, war... it seems like every single day there is something else to stress about. Things to focus on outside of ourselves to keep us on edge. There’s just so much chaos that it can easily leave us feeling hopeless and lost. If you’re like me, you’re looking for something more. Well I found that more in... you!I realized that what we were missing was each other! Think about it. While we were all locked inside, isolated for two years, we lost a piece of ourselves for awhile. What we lost was Human Connection! That’s the best way for us to grow outward and upward. To feel seen, heard and understood and to be part of a community. These are the foundations of who we are as people. As I got back out into the world I started to meet phenomenal individuals everyday. Everywhere.. Zeus is joined by Christopher J. Carr, Host of the Cannabis Connection!
With more than 12 year’s experience in educating cannabis science, Carr is the former Cannabis Cultivator for WAMM: Santa Cruz’s oldest and California’s first cannabis collective, stewarding 7,200 plants in 2022 from seed to serve the terminally ill and medically bankrupt. Christopher is active in the community in shaping a more compassionate Cannabis movement as an advisor to local governments and host of the ground-breaking radio talk show, The Cannabis Connection. He is also a judge for both High Times and The Emerald Cup.
Carr shares his journey from Santa Cruz’s cannabis culture to various musical projects. Initially involved in community cannabis cultivation, Carr’s roots in agriculture influenced his passion for the industry. Carr emphasizes the importance of oral histories in cannabis, reflecting on his connection to the earth and the significance of regenerative farming. Moving to Santa Cruz inspired him by its creative energy and introduced him to Waldorf education, influencing his family values.
